When Boyd enters the distant forest, he finds himself at the bottom of a well
The area, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago was home to apartments, a meeting house, a fire station, a school, a church, a store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support the workers of a nearby military base in the 1950s and 1960s. All that remains are the paved streets and driveways, and a fake town has been built on them.
Martin did not throw the rope

Season 1 & 2 are ongoing but unnecessarily drag out the Season 3 episodes, which is annoying
Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans Presented by The Pixies. The Season 3 episode was good, but after that it just builds up to moments that don’t make us emotionally connected to the situation and I mostly missed a few unwanted conversations with the characters. It used to be very exciting, and now it has become a drama that seems out of place.
Hopefully they fix the problem next season
I think after the first episode of Season 3, the remaining 8 episodes can actually be condensed into a maximum of 3 episodes. Maybe they have plans for a second season. But this way of stretching the episodes is not ideal because it annoys most fans, including me.
