A Montana cattle ranching family comes face to face with others who are encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo player. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and reverts to the Southern California voice he usually uses. Recommended on WatchMojo: 10 Best Summer TV Shows That Are Off the Radar (2018). It’s the kind of show where cowboy/western life meets big-city mob life. This show has a good cast, the first two episodes were well-written, and each episode leaves you wanting more. Not to mention, the Montana and Utah landscapes are gorgeous. The Duttons remind me of the Ewings from the 1970s drama “Dallas.” Yellowstone is basically “Dallas” meets “The Sopranos.”
